For exchanging NMEA data, this optional cable, equipped with a USB-A female connector, allows you to connect an NMEA2000-to-USB converter (not included) or an NMEA0183-to-USB converter (not included), and even multiple converters using a USB multiplexer.

The advantage of the USB port is that it allows automatic detection of NMEA exchange parameters.
