For exchanging NMEA data, this optional USB-C port connector, allows you to connect an NMEA2000-to-USB converter (not included) or an NMEA0183-to-USB converter (not included), and even multiple converters using a USB multiplexer.

This waterproof USB-C port maintains the watertight integrity of the computer housing but does not provide a watertight connection.

The advantage of the USB port is that it allows automatic detection of NMEA exchange parameters.

The USB-C port assembly on the Pypilot computer is included.
